Any suggestions for a droop compensating mount for a Stoeger X20S? The rifle is very accurate but the POI is about 18 inches low at 20 yards.

Sounds, to me, that you could have the possibility of more than just normal droop involved.....? That amount of drop @ 20yds....? Scope/mounting problem...? Check your lock-up, alive jam, pivot bolt,... could you have a baffle issue inside the sound chamber deflecting the pellet?
I own two of the x20s models. I've upgraded the triggers to GRT lll along with better optics and both shoot "as they are meant to shoot" and have been decent guns for the money. Hope you figure it out.

If the gun is new (or nearly so) you could consider a warranty replacement.
A second option could be bending the barrel or a droop mount. I have a Sun adjustable mount on my Nitro Venom. After figuring it out it works well and is quite solid.
I am using a Hawke droop mount on one Diana and I think I have an RWS on the other.

I recently discovered the same thing about my X20s... It was visible when looking at the profile of the rifle, or sighting down the barrel when the scope was removed. I never bothered with it until i tried to upgrade the scope. I tried 4 different scopes and none of them would zero, it was just too far out. Mine was very accurate with the stock scope. I never tried a droop mount, because after talking to some "Air gun Experts" I determined that there was not a droop mount on the market that would compensate enough for my rifle... 9" low at 10 yrds.
I tried bending the barrel myself, and was successful in achieving proper alignment. ( actually quite easy to bend) The problem was when i cocked & shot the gun about 3-4 times, the barrel was right back where I started.
The rifle is currently back in the hands of Stoeger and I am waiting to see what, if anything, will be done about it. If it is still under warranty, I would definitely send it back.
There are others here who have had good results with "compensating" mounts! My research showed that I would need .090" of compensation to correct my droop.
Like I stated... it was very shoot-able with the supplied scope, just no others, and I tried some very high quality scopes. I love the rifle, so I hope Stoeger will make it right
Here is a link to the thread I started, there may be some info in it to help you out!

Thanks to all for the replies. Tim, mine was very accurate with the scope that came with it, and like you, I only ran into problems when I tried to upgrade the scope. Let me know what happens with sending it back. Mine is also still under warranty. Thanks again.

Well, it took exactly 4 weeks to the day, but Stoeger did replace my gun. Now to get it cleaned up and see about how the droop is on this new rifle.
