They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

Hey , I'm just wondering if its a common problem to have a gun that won't fully seat pellets? . Cause I've had to dremmel out the breach on 2 guns, my b19 variant, and my brothers crosman optimus/ b19 variant. How many of you guys have had to do this?

It is common to put a chamfer on the leade end of the breech opening of the barrel. JMO

Be careful not to over do it. I have seen guns opened up till pellets will fall right into the barrel.

I've only had two breakbarrel with a satisfactory chamfer in the breech. One was tuned from Flying dragon, the other was a stoeger x10 i picked up at a pawn shop. Having owned a few of the stoegers, I believe the one I got at the pawn shop had either been professionally tuned, or was once owned by a savvy airgunner and tinkerer before I got it. I just use the soft rubbery bit from a Drexel set and twist it in the breech by hand until it gets to a point that most pellets fit flush without wearing out my thumb. Seems to work for me.

Thats what I did I just used a low powered cordless dremmel so it would be kinda hard to over do it, you can also use one of those crappy little harbor freight rotory tools since they lack the power to over do anything.

Yeah my Vantage ( a b19 from what I understand ) has an unfinished breach too. Oddly my Kodiak came with a little chamfer.
We use to chamfer things by hand with a countersink and drill press, would just turn it on to get the spindle going a bit and chamfer pit a little at a time.

My Hatsan Super Charger 25 pistol required a judicious application of the Dremell tool to chammfer the breech slightly

Did this just twisting a drill bit with my fingers. Anyone think it needs to be bigger? My main concern was to keep it from shearing/deforming pellet skirts that didn't seat deep enough

I'm not sure I just did mine untill it was as deep as I tipically see on springers, I would copare it to another gun in ,person or in pics.

Slide a pellet in with your thumb to check it. If it's not too tough to bury passed the skirt, you're good. The smallest amount required is the best.
