ev2 scope rail help

Hey guys,

  Well I have been shooting my ev2 and have been noticing that most of my shots are at the left hand of my scope adjustment.  I currently have a new falcon t50 scope mounted in a pair of new sportsmatch adjustable rings, the elevation style.  The vertical adjustment is spot on, but my windage is about maxed out!  While playing with the idea of free floating my barrel I noticed that the groups did move a bit, but what made them move more was releasing the rail locking screws.  So I removed the end and looked to see if I had mounted the rings backward.  This didn't really help much but while tightening the clamps down I noticed that my rear mount was moving more and more of the rail.  Looking at it from the back of the rifle the rest scope ring was mounted securely to the scope, while the base camp is sitting of to one side of the rail.

Not really sure what is going on, but I do plan on removing the rings completely and trying another set to see what happens.  But do you guys have any suggestions or thoughts?

Which way are they suppose to be?  I know I rotated mine to see if they work better, will check to see if they work better. 

I did just redo my rings, removed scope and rings, then mounted to rifle again.  Not able to shoot any more as my son just went to bed.  Will see what happens tomorrow.
