Hi Allen, I didn't forget about the bell. Tried to get some pics of it, but can't get anything useful. It's mounted thru 3x10 timbers. My parents ( 94 and 90 ) don't drive anymore. Doctor appointments, shopping, and trying to keep their property cleaned up takes most of my time. I need to take it apart soon for repairs. When I do I can get some good pics for you. Tom
so what did you do? bust out a micrometer??
so what did you do? bust out a micrometer?? i mean how else could you tell how snug the pellets would be before you load them in the breach? could it have been caused by unequal rifling in the breach area?? causing the tight fit pellets to deform a bit? or a rifle land biting too much on one side??
I believe one of our serious bench rest competitors and creative resident genius members of the "Geek Squad" uses an optical comparator for measuring his pellets and has his own personal CNC machine for part fabrication. He also developed an electronically controlled trigger and solenoid valve for a bench rest rifle he built for competition. The powers that be in the competition decided that the trigger setup gave him an unfair advantage
It hurts my brain just saying it!
