I mainly use my airgun for shooting short ranges, out to 30 yards. At home I have 16 yards to use whenever I want and I also have a good friends workingplace to use with 30 yards indoors. Sometimes I also shoot at a neighbours farmland, just outside the hamlet were I live.
What I was looking for was then a highly portable airgun with low power (must be sub 8.00 fpe/ME due to our legal limit) that is VERY quiet to operate and wont trash pellettraps still being extremely accurate.
I started off by buying the largest case I found acceptable for travel with bicycle or bus, easy to carry and not looking suspicious (that is "gunlooking").
This case I got had two levels, this is how the first one looks like:
This Is how I started to fill it. Today I also have a targetholder (BSAs folding one) and room for a laser range finder (on order, have not arrived yet). The tube is 500 cc filled to 260 Bar.
This is how the gun turned out to be..
The 1701 holds factory powerlevel at 3.50 fpe and is indeed very accurate, at least indoors. This is 10 shots with JSB Premium shot at 21 yards indoor, fully rested and not cherrypicked.
An early pic during its build, showing how the 1701 fits into the first level of the case:
I took my bicycle out to the farmland during a wonderful spring evening, some mixed pics..
A range of 33 yards looks quite far away for the naked eye...the white stripe is the measuring tape..
Max zoom with my cellphone camera..
View from the scope..
Surroundings..
Everything I need in one case, except the sitting pillow and the measuring tape (will be replaced with a laser range finder)
Typical target from 33 yards sitting on a pillow with 3.50 fpe ME
The 1701 will return app 50-65 shots in one fill from 2900 Psi depending upon range, I use 60 shots at 16 yards and 50 shots at longer ranges. I can refill the 1701 6 times using my 500 cc buddy bottle. With the PH moderator its really awesome quiet at 3.50 fpe. The sound of the pellets flight is also incredible low as the impact in the pellettrap (fitted with duct seal).
I have been using this setup shooting while the neigbours had a BBQ-party right at the other side of the hedge, not taking any notice...

Nice setup. I am looking forward to shooting outside as it warms up here. What kind of buddy bottle and fill rig are you using? That looks like something that would work for me ...
