The 50s is louder than the 30s.....still more quiet than the 460 and You can certainly pest with a 30. You just need to be on your game so far as pellet placement. But then , that should always be the case.I would suggest a 50s in .177 . It has a nice balance of power and weight and is a real pleasure to shoot...got two of em. 30-R9 comparison....... A R9 in .22 will be more quiet than in .177.... but still makes a fair bit of noise. I 'd say go 50s. If your neighbor still has issues with it try to work something out with him ...like shooting during certain times etc.... Just make sure you're legal and he won't have a whole lot against ya.I have a neighbor that's a royal pain....part of the reason we're now looking to sell and move.Happy Shootin!PeteyBTW--- Welcome To The GTA!
Thanks for the reply! Does your neighbor complain when you shoot your 50s? I was wondering because I feel my neighbor falls into the same category as yours.
My backyard is about 3/4 acre. The problem is when I was shooting the 460 it really is loud. I could shoot steel spinners and and I would not be able to hear the impact. Along with that the neighbors dog would pretty much go nuts every time I pulled the trigger.

Second point you are required to provide an adequate safe backstop. Lastly pellets cannot leave your property . Beyond that you are not responsible to maintain hospital level sound in your backyard from 7am to 10 or 11 pm. Let your neighbor teach his dog to not be annoying and bark at every little sound
I would suggest getting the 95 in .20 or .22. The larger calibres are a little quieter. Swap out the spring for a 50 spring and this will put you @ 12 fpe, a little quieter still. This gives you 50 power with the easier cocking effort of the 95, with the ability to return to full power just by swapping a spring.
