I saw this *idea* on the Pyrmad website wtih 3 cans and a bullseye for $19.95
Made my own, just without the bullseye.
Wouldn't take much to add the bullseye off to the side, just havn't gotten that far yet
I had everything I needed to make it, so my cost was zero.
Depending on what you've got on hand, either free or very low cost and no where near $19.95 + shipping.
I used 1 x 2 (.75 x 1.5)
4 sheetrock screws 2.5 inch I believe (I forgot what I used already)
3 hinge screws
#16 Jack Chain (14 links)
3 empty soda cans
Quite primative, but effective and sturdy.
For the feet-
2 pc. cut at 6 inches
For the risers-
2 pc. cut at 10 inches
For the crossbar-
1 pc. cut at 13 inches
A screw from bottom of feet into the riser on each side.
A screw from side of riser into crossbar on each side
(MIGHT put in a stablizer on the bottom just to hold the shape when moving it around. Stays solid during use)
Hanger left to right- (the 3 spaced evenly-ish)
Hinge screw through link into crossbar 5 links, last link opened up to be a *hook*
Hinge screw through link into crossbar 4 links, last link opened up to be a *hook*
Hinge screw through link into crossbar 5 links, last link opened up to be a *hook*
Turn the pop-top up so it stands up, sits on the opened hook link.
Plink plink plink plink.....
Turning it to the side so you see all 3 in a line gives a view to about 0.25 of the can so can pass through all 3 at once.
I'll still need to paint it so it looks a little better, but had to test it & well seems the "test" process is still in effect

HA!
I'm guessing wouldn't be worth anywhere close to the $0.05 since I tend to shoot them in half before putting a new one on.

Great job and thanks for sharing the details. I have a couple of questions. Those look to be some pretty big holes in the cans what are you shooting them with and what is the backstop?

I try to cut them in half with as few shots as possible without walking up to the target to check progress or look for weak spots. Sadly, last night it took 35. That last shot can be a bugger.
