If I got some aluminum tubing (good enough grade for the pressure), modified the metal housing that holds the pump tube, valve body, and pivot point for the pump arm, made a longer pump arm, extended the metal housing to allow a longer stroke, made a longer pump tube, and all related changes.


Could I possibly get 12FPE in under 6 pumps with the Daisy 22x?

I have been playing with the idea for some time, though I just can not get myself to spend the money on the materials to find out.

I figured that I would share so that one of  you that has the ambition and money could give it a try if you wanted to.

 Funny, I was thinking the same type of thing today. Similar thoughts anyways. Probably above my pay grade. But if I dwell on it long enough I may figure it out. Money..... in short supply until winter is over.

  Linkage and such I am fine with. Not sure about the pump tube with a shop full of woodworking tools and a regular mechanics shop in another building. But if I dwell on it long enough I will figure it out I'm sure

Maybe time to save up for a metal working lathe, and mill?

These two tools will save you so much money that they are well worth having.   They do require a bit of training to put to good use, and my teacher happened to be a gunsmith.     Though as long as you take all safety precautions I guess it would be possible to self teach.

  Yes I should. I have not use either in 30 years but have friends who have at one time made their living in machine shops. So if I can't figure it out, they could give me a hand. But I am pretty good at figuring my way through things.
