The last 2240 that I bought was just the opposite. The front sight was over to the left. Try as I might I could not move the rear sight enough to make it shoot straight. Then it dawned on me. Loosen the screw holding the front barrel band and loosen the tiny breach screw and move the barrel, front sight and all to the right. Retighten the screws and wala, it worked. I could now sight my 2240 in. Got it? Loosen the breach screw, loosen the barrel band screw, move barrel where the front sight looks straight. It works.
