50 yd night time group.

Well I went boat shopping all day and then came back and filled in my boat ramp with gravel then since the lights were on I figured set up some targets adn finish the night out right. Well I set up the birchwood casey shoot and see targets then retreated to my shooting nest. I broke out the simmons laser range fider and hit the target at 49 yds twice and 50 yds 3 times. I set up my tripod and chair then blacked out the shooting room. I turn ed off all the lights so the only lights were on the target end. Makes for some nice shooting. I broke out my 470 that I havent shot in a while and first 3 shot group was little high. I gave 1 mil of correction for the next group and hit 3/4 in outside to outside! Not bad at all for night time and being half lit! did I mantion me and my friend split 1/2 of a 1.75 of VO gold after boat shopping.

Man its been a great day! We took our sons shopping for boats and found 2 that are dead on what I was looking for then came back looked at boat books and then got to shoot my pellet rifles! Man whats next? Smoking hot red heads parading through my room! lol Man do I love my vortek tuned 470! crazy accurate and stupid powerful!

That's some excellent shooting in the dark at 50 yards.  Bet the VisualShot (I think that's what they're call) bulls made it alot easier to see the hits.

I put a small black light in front of the targets so they glow very well and when you hit its plane as day where you hit. Makes it alot easier. I think Ill try it with the white plastic trainer golf balls next. They should glow very well also.

Have you tried 1" Flo Orange stick on dots?  They show up GREAT. Put a black dot in the center, and shoot em up.  I luv "Shoot N See" targets, but I just can't afford as many as I go through
I buy rolls of those Flo Dots on EBAY....like 1,000s
They show good on contrasting brown cardboard.

  Love that Diana/RWS 470TH ...... Great shooting at 50yds....What is the firing cycle like on the 470TH, is it similar to the 350's? .......Shoot Safe and Enjoy...Bill

I 've been reading that with the Vortek PG2 kit the 470 .22 gets transformed into a 27fpe gun!  920's with 14.3gr and 810-820fps with JSB 18.1gr and it's still very accurate.  Is yours stock?  Great shooting!  The 470 is a great gun.

My 470 has the PG2 kit and seal in it. As soon as I got it I fired 2 shots to get familular with it then took it apart and deburred it, wasnt hardly any deburring needed, then slapped in the new seal and PG2 kit. It was shooting 860's with CP 10.5 gr stock. I use 10.2 gr JSB's and its in the 890's. 8.4 gr are in the high 990's but a little less accurate. Its pinpoint accurate with the 10.2's for sure and the T06 trigger is awesome. The trigger is very clean adn set perfectly at the factory and is so much easier to work on compare to the T05. The adjustable but plate on the stock is nice also. Really helps you dial in your rifle. This rifle fits very well to my shoulder and is so much fun to shoot. Ive hit the beeman ran at 100 yds with it. The ram and golf balls at 65 or under is a joke. This is one sweet rifle with alot of power. With the PG 2 kit it is very smooth and is consistant with the Vortek tuned 350. I think the only edge in accuracy over the 350 comes from the fixed barrel. They are both very nice to shoot but the 470 nudges out the 350 in accuracy but just barely. They are within 1/2 FPE the 350 is just over 18 and the 470 just under. 

And yes I saw the new High yeild kits vortek now sells for the 470. That is nuts! If it really works as advertised that is impressive.

Well the 2 boats in my price range were a 21 ft Nautic Star and a 22 ft Sea Hunt. They are both bay boats and come in right at 31k brand new built the way I want them. We also looked at some shearwater boats. They were from 55-160K! Beautiful boats though. The 160,000 was a 27 ft bay boat with twin 300 merc verados. They said it would curise at 70 with ease. Boat is on hold for a few months though. Owe the tax man 4700 this year! No combat time and sold a house for a loss this year so we got bumped into higher tax bracket. What a kick in the nuts. Oh well will give everybody a chance to trade in their boats for new ones and put alot more good used one out there. I got to see a ranger bay boat at the public ramp a few weeks ago. They are nice boats.
