I know some of us can get a little obsessive when it comes to cleaning our guns.    Just wondering if any of you clean/lube your marauder magazines?  (or other guns that use mags) They must get some lead/gunk build up inside due to use.  I have four that I use and at times they can feel a little gritty when I'm loading pellets.

The "canned air" used to dust computer fans will blow the grit away.  I'm guessing that it comes from wherever you set out the magazines or pellets prior to loading rather than the tin.

I just got a new one. I noticed right away how much smoother it rotated, and the spring action is a bit stronger. When I have time I'll disassemble one of my old ones clean and lube it good, change the position of the spring and compare with the new one. I have been getting stuck pellets and rotation failures from time to time. Maybe its a maintenance thing, maybe its just time to buy new ones.

I hardly use mine but when I do I just use the clean air spray and blow them out. I use a single shot tray to cut down on the double loading of pellets or to use pellets that are to long for the magazine.

Well okay, I had a few minutes and it only takes a few minutes to disassemble a magazine, give it a swipe with a Qtip  a tiny bit of Hoppes and reassemble. I moved the spring back and now my old magazines feel just like my new one. I guess I still need to take it out to see if they work just as well. I don't lube my pellets, but maybe I should rethink that bit too, just for the sake of the magazine.

I cleaned my as well, just soapy water and a qtip.  There was as small amount of lead build up in the magazine from the pellets.  Blew the water out and used some silicone spray on another qtip all over the inside.  The only fiddly part was the screw that holds the cover on, trying to get it to the right tension so the top would spin and not bind up.  They all cycled thru the gun no problem when I was done.

Not really sure it was necessary but can't help tinkering!
