Wrong Place at the Wrong Time

I just installed my new TKO LDC on my Disco 22...like literally JUST....

Walked outside to see if it changed my POI. Took shots 1-5 then heard something in the trees. Shot #6 was this guy about 20 yards out and 30 feet up in a tree.

Pretty sure I exploded his heart, and you can see a piece of lung. I guess from the angle the pellet got slowed down internally quite a bit. No exit wound using CPHP. But he didn't even squirm, just fell straight down.

Yes, I have been pleased. I haven't tried any other pellets in my Disco yet. Considering my main function is pesting/hunting, it seems hollowpoints are the way to go. Those or Polymags, but those are crazy expensive...

Hard to beat a 500 count tin of CPHP for $9. But I'm going to try JSBs just to see.

Yeah, you just never know what's going to shoot well out of a particular air rifle. In the way of hollowpoints, I've had pretty good success with the Baracuda Hunter Extremes, but they're a bit more pricey than the CPHP's. As far as domed pellets go, the JSB 18.1's are probably the most versatile pellet that I've used. They've shot well out of all my airguns. They're soft lead so they tend not to pass through as easily as the harder Crosman pellets, they're clean, consistent & have enough weight for a descent BC for those long range shots too. Of course all that don't mean squat unless they shoot well out of your gun.
