HW97K Stainless .22 inbound!

Tuned with a Vortek SHO kit, I'm so excited on several different levels! My first underlever. My first HW, can't wait to try the famed trigger. I bought the Hawke Endurance 6.5X24X50, and have a BKL 1 piece mount coming as well.
Now in combination with that, I have secured access to an INDOOR, HEATED place to shoot that I checked out this morning. Rangefinder says a 52yrds.     Guess where my 97 and LGVs will be playing this winter? Note to self, order a couple more sleeves of those JSBs......

I shoot my 97K almost daily. You will love it. The shot cycle is almost as good as my TX200, the hold is nice like my R11, and the accuracy as about the same as both rifles listed. I am sure you will be happy, but be aware no pictures means it never happened and you were just dreaming.

Well it was delivered yesterday. I mounted the scope and am waiting for the blue loctite to cure, will probably wait 'till tomorrow to start sighting it in.
First impressions..........it's really tiny. My forearm is as wide as the stock! I need close to 3" more concerning length of pull. It's going to be a challenge to get this thing where it fits and I can shoot it. The air rifle world isn't made for someone 6'6" 320lbs, 36"sleeves, 35" inseam, 22" neck.

  All things being equal I would rather be 6'6" than 4'4" , just saying.  Mike if that HW97K is too small just send it to me I'll be happy to shoot it for you I'm just 5'10" and 220 lbs

I am sorta biased had the platform in all three barrel lengths offered

Mine all seem to shoot best at no more than 16FPE in .20 above that it gets harsh....18 FPE is easy to get but way too harsh

Kidding aside how is the trigger? Did you have him leave it at 11oz? Shot cycle I am sure is good. The SHO kits are supposed to be smooth for a 18 FPE springer. Is it hold sensitive?

Put about 100 pellets through it this morning. Hate to say it, but I'm not warming up to this 97K. Don't like the thumbhole stock, don't like angle of my hand/wrist/finger in relation to the trigger.
On the bright side, it's a wonderful rifle. The trigger is everything I thought it would be, world class accurate, and the Vortek SHO kit puts the pellet downrange with authority without a harsh shot cycle. Preliminary crony #s using Beeman F.T.S.

Those are some really nice numbers. I am sorry I led you wrong. I like my 97K as much as I like my TX200MK3. Thumb hole stocks do take a bit getting use to.

I had an HW97T in wood. The thumb-hole stock is different and took some getting used to maybe 250 - 300 shots for me. John certainly knows how to tune triggers. 18 FPE and its not broken in. Those SHO kits are putting out some power for a 97.

Give it some time before you make a decision. If your not happy with that 97 it will not be hard to sell, especially a gun that shoots like that. Good luck.
