Fedex came yesterday with a present from WWAG Cricket Carbine .22

So I ordered a Cricket Carbine and Aeon scope from Wild West Air Guns and I have to say they were fantastic to deal with. They had a couple of problems during testing with the last gun they had in stock and gave me the option to cancel or wait for a shipment that was on its way. I opted to wait and Charlie really took care of me by making sure the gun was a great shooter (it is) and throwing in a few extras for my time. Charlie called me every step of the way which I really appreciated after spending that much on a rifle.

The rifle itself is fantastic. I had done lots of reading and viewing youtube vids, so I knew what to expect. Loading the clips into the gun is fiddly but I found a youtube vid that described it perfectly and I had no problems (I would have if I had not found that video). The manual is worthless. The gun is very accurate. Certainly more accurate than I am. The regulator seems to be working great. I shot a 10 shot string of 18.1 JSB's over the pro chrono and got a high of 908 low of 904! ES of 4 is amazing to me.  The only fly in the ointment is the gauge (manometer) Kalibrgun has gone back to the color bar gauge without any numbers and after a couple of fills, I find even the bars are not close. The top of the green bar is meant to be 200 bar and the top of the yellow 300, but putting 250 bar in verified by both my pump and my JoeB gauge on my SCBA tank doesn't even take the needle to the top of the green. I wish it was a better gauge, but it isn't really going to affect how I use the gun, so I'll live with it.

I have a couple of 35 yard groups and to be honest, they would be better if I was able to shoot better, but here are the pics. There was a steady 8 mph wind with some gusts, so I might have done better without that and I was shooting off a wobbly bench with a tiny little sandbag, so I know the gun can do better.




Ignore the missed shot on this last one, I pulled the trigger before I was even close to ready.

I can shoot 1" groups at 90 yards with no wind with my cricket rifle. I also have a S&B scope on mine..

Hey I shoot a new , 25 out of the box a coupke weeks ago. A buddy had it and was doing a review on it. I shot is a few times at 50  yards
And walked away. He asked me if I wanted to shoot it somemore.. I said no. Frankly it was  not matching my new AT44W-10 .25 long.

He calked me back a couple days later. He watched the shots through the scope cam and they were tumbling. So he detuned it down to about 865 and then it was same hole-in at 50 yards. 

I called him yesterday and asked him if I shoukd buy that Daystate AOA had on close out. It was an Air Ranger  .25 for $1499.
He explained the reason Daystate was closing out that model was because they were going to use the action of the 303 in all there guns going forward.

So he said he was keeping the Cricket Carbine and it is out shooting his Daystate after a good clean and detune. He also has a Bobcat , 30 which I shot thru his scope cam and it was amazing.

Anyway just an FYI.
