Remington npss barrel question

I am wondering if the barrels on the Remington NPSS are interchangeable. If so has anyone tried it yet?

I have the .177 cal and wouldnt mind picking up a .22 cal.

There is no reason at all I can think of not to be able, one of the virtues of breakbarrels.
Would also suggest the bronze washers when you do the switch, if you haven't already done that.

Yep just waiting for the news that the washers are ready or did I miss it?

I dont have the means to make them myself.

they're not hard to make at all. Go to your local hardware get some 5/16 washers which are very close to the finish product. You need to drill put the center hole a tiny bit and sand one side down a tiny amount (only one side). I used 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper laid on a good solid flat surface and carefully said the one side try to make sure that I kept it flat. The only tool items that come in handy are a drill press, a hand drill will do but the drill press is better and a dial caliper which helps make sure the dimension are OK. I was going to make some to sell to those that wanted some but a couple of other GTA members mentioned they had already started the process of making them. Still have not seen any mentioned on here yet!! Guess maybe I should have made mine for those that are still waiting!!

Thanks for contacting us. It is possible for you to go from a .177 to a .22, the only thing is that when you will replace the barrel, you will have a new serial number so you will have to call the firearm registration office and let them know and they will tell you what you have to do whit this situation. The problem is, the product is new so they do not have it in stock but it's just a matter of time before we get it. Seeing the address above, it's obvious that Canada's draconian firearms (applied to airguns?) laws are being mentioned here.
I don't know that Rimshot is a resident of Canada, so the whole serial number thing probably wouldn't apply.

You should go ahead and make yours Norm. The ones I am having made are still a month off.

Also only NPSS barrels are interchangable with other NPSS models. Lock up chisel is different on NPSS compared to NP or other models like that.
