From my reading of AAFTA rules I see no prohibition on using a sling AND bipod sticks at the same time. I tried it today and it really improved my stability and repeatable accuracy. It also gave me many more set up postures to try. Why don't more guys show their pcp air guns with slings? They seem to be a great tool for accuracy and stability. Do you use one while aiming?

John,
What makes you think they are not allowed?
Jeff is correct and here are the current rules:
Common Division Rules
D. A one-point or two-point sling is allowed, as permitted by specific AAFTA Division Rules. Other than the arm, slings may not be wrapped or attached to any part of the body.
Hunter Division Rules
A. A rifle sling attached to the rifle at only two points may be used.
Common rules apply to all Divisions. Hunter rules apply only to Hunter Division.

As far as the rules go you are correct. I was told by two MD's that I could not use my sling for HFT. I will be sure to bring a copy of the rules with me to my next match to point this out and start using my sling with bucket and sticks as well as in the forced lanes.
