312 question

I read on the Mac1 site that he says to open the bolt and cock the gun before pumping.  Is that the correct way to shoot the 312 as well?

I could be wrong but I think that is referring to his steroid builds. I've got my dad's 317 and as long as i remember i pumped it first. It didn't matter either way.

There's no need to open the bolt of a 312 to pump it up. But it won't hurt anything to open it and its a good habit to have if you own a Steroid tuned pumper.
