My Pneuma now...

Hey guys, did a desert camo paint job on the Pneuma. 'The Flats' provides all sorts of terrain- dried, dead, desert-like terrain, long, green grassy areas, rolling dirt hills, forests, marshes, ponds, farmland (crops of all sorts). You name it.

So almost any type of camo paint applies.

Gave this a base layer of tan. Hit the designated spots with Krylon webbing.

Gotta think of a way to secure the bottom portion of the tube though after finding out I can't put the barrel band on... I'll think of something!

P.S- I don't use 2 bubble levels! I forgot the level on the weaver when centering the gun/bipod to put the Hawke back on

Why can't you put the barrel band on?

If the paint is causing tollerence issues, just take some fine sandpaper and take a little bit off of the barrel band.  Just enough material for the to slide over the cylinder, but snug enough to hold.

Tolerance issues indeed! Realized I should've maybe left the band on whilst painting. When putting it back on it wouldn't budge. Thanks I'll try your advice. I'm thinking about soft bedding it as the cylinder is the weak point... Accuracy testing will reveal if I even need to bed it or reattach the band.

Thanks Jeff! Usually I'm not satisfied the first go about when painting a gun! But I really like the desert colour vs green combos.

Thanks DR! For airguns, the paint wears pretty good! I go to Snipers Hide to get my inspiration. They use Krylon on pb's and it still wears pretty good. Not to mention how creative they get.

Thanks Bwalton! I'd say do it! Can't go wrong and gives it a 'custom' look! Can easily strip via chemicals later for season change or if you just want a new look!

I'm thinking about getting some duracoat and professional stencils. During the first week, the paint scratches easily but after the first initial week, it's pretty tough. I use Rustoleum clear matte/flat overcoat.
