1377 Domed Trigger Washer?

I just got a 1377 and am running to Ace today to grab a lighter sear spring. Took the trigger assembly apart in anticipation and noticed there was a domed washer behind the trigger...almost looked like it was bent into that shape? If I'm shimming the trigger and sear with small brass washers does the original domed washer get put back in or left out?
[edit] I believe it is part number 24 in the crosman 1377/PC77 diagram (can't link to it as new member). [/edit]

Try it with and without that washer. The whole shimming exercise is to reduce wobble and side-to-side play of the trigger and sear without causing either to bind when the side plate is installed. There are a few ways to attack this problem with shimming being the easiest for most of us.

Hi there
That bent washer is a well known rodent from hollywood's way of shimming. nylon, stainless or brass washers are far better.
I used stainless because that is what I had on hand. Some careful filing of the frame where the pins go was necessary for a perfect fit.
You can end up with a nice smooth movement with no side play at all, don't forget a little light grease on the pivots and contact points.
Happy Happy Happy!
