Pellet Stuck

Hi Guys,
I was loading a pellet into my Daisy 880 and it fell back into the BB area. Normally I shake it and it comes out the BB port on the left side. This time it didn't and I can't hear it anymore. It must have lodged somewhere. Can I just leave it there, or will it cause a problem? I don't want to disassemble the rifle unless I have to, since I'm never sure of getting it all back together again. Thanks for any advice.

Just leave it there. A little hot glue applied to the BB port with a stick will prevent it happening in the future. I never shoot bb's in my 880. Can't really understand why Daisy doesn't just make it a pure pellet gun.

I was told to cock the bolt back, then push it forward until it covers the BB port, then load your pellet. That way the pellet will not fall into the BB port.

I don't shoot BBs in mine either. If I ever take it apart, I plan to block the port. Until then I move the bolt forward as mentioned in the previous post. I don't see it being a problem if it's lodged and don't hinder the bolt action. It may be if you shoot BBs.

Well there should be no problems. Just never use BB's, and block the port going into the breach in what ever way you feel is best. I use a bit of 2 part epoxy to block the port on mine.

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I used to push the bolt slightly forward and hold the rifle vertically with the end pointed down. I recently got another Daisy 800 but this one had the scope. That made it more difficult to load. Aside from that minor problem it's an incredible gun. At 10 yards it consistently places pellets in a 1/4 inch space. Not bad for a $40 gun!!!
