well for me the absolute minimum I would do is a solid pivot pin(can make out of drill bit shank) and a bug out pumpgrip ~$8 (I hate pinched fingers). I would get the 1399 stock while I was at it ~$10 that way you can have it as a short carbine also.
The absolute minimum mod(and its free) is to match the valve nose to the pump cup, but spend a few buck at the hobby shop and while you have it open might as well sleeve the intake passage with some 1/16 tubing( a couple bucks) Also if you have the tools radius the inside corner of the exhaust passage just a touch. Stuffing the piston is also a good thing that is cheap.
inspect the barrel crown and leade they may need work. some free fps is to make a seating tool and seat the pellet just past the port.
So yep about 20 bucks and a bit of work and you have a pretty good little 1377 that works like it was meant to...

Another vote for just shoot it here.
Wife and I just picked up a pair of the 1322's with the carbine stocks.
We are having a blast!
After you have 500 rounds through it you will have a much better idea of what you want.

Chinese B3 (Loud, rough, but accurate)
Pair of 1322's, mine has a red dot, wife's has laser.
Hatsan 135 QE Vortex in .22 aka "the beast"
Currently using the Hammers 3x9x32 AO scope with good results. 52$ at Amazon.
Hatsan 1000x Striker .22 800 fps just starting breaking in but show promise. Has the same hammers scope. Love em.
