scope reccomendations for a benjamin trail or similar air rifle?

Centerpoint bit the dust again, not willing to try my luck and spend more money on a repair or replacement, guess I'm getting something better next week along with a grt trigger, any recommendations for a scope I was thinking a 4-12x44 Hawke varmint should do good, any other recommendations? I was thinking id use buds as a reference and do that 110% price match thing (wasn't that SWFA) and get what seems like a nice scope for a dynamite price; the gun is specifically a Benjamin genesis (Wal-Mart version of Jim Shockey signature, which is guessing is basically a trail NP).

Been looking at the Nikon EFR 3-9x40.  They are real clear from about 5 yds to 50 (that was how far the back wall at the store was).  Friend of mine has the Genesis and has been looking at these scopes.  Think he ordered one from optics planet for 149.

My venom(same plant as a trail) loves, and I do mean loves, the UTG Swat scope.  I also like the hawke scopes, they're very tough and SUPER clear.  Either scope is a great choice IMO

Ended up getting a hawke sport HD 3-9x40 mil dot, its non AO, but pleasantly surprised at the clarity from this scope, I paid6t shipped on eBay, came in 3 days, as long as it lasts (and if the durability is like the clarity I don't know why it wouldnt) I will be super happy. *$65 shipped.
