Just seen this one a few weeks ago and knew It was gonna end up in my collection sooner or later. Trail NP2 won't be her for a while but this one will keep me busy till then. It's like the Big brother to the Crosman M4-177 pumper I surprised my grandson with. He was coming over to go shooting that day and had no ideal I had bought him an airgun of his own. Should have seen that boys face. Oh wait,  I have a photo of him shooting it.

Surly someone is modding and decking out the MTR77np's. Gonna be my go to plinker if it is really is around 5 pounds.  I've seen all the Youtube videos.

Feels good to take them out there plinking with you doesn't it...

My Grand is only 4 but he still sits right on the picnic table and hands me pellets while I shoot, maybe next year I will get him something his size...

I find younger shooters sometimes have issues with scopes, and either get too close to them or too far away, either way, the eye relief is not correct, and they "can't see" the target.

I would suggest a red dot sight, as there is no problem with eye relief, and the dot doesn't have to be centered in the scope.
It also does not magnify, so the body shake isn't amplified.

A good quality BSA RD30 can be had for $29 at Wally World, and it has both dovetail and picatinny rail mounts.

Oh yeah, it was fun. That was the 1st time he pumped it up and shot it. My 4 year old granddaughter was upset cause I didn't get her a gun. I went over some gun safety with her and to my surprise she listened too and picked up everything I showed her so I got here one of those 12.00 Daisy BB guns. She loves it. To bad I couldn't find it in pink lol.

I thought him how to get his eye relief right and he did pretty well. He really wanted a scope on it so I borrowed one off my Trail NP since it had the weaver mounts. Gonna put either a red dot or one of the cheap 4 power scopes I have laying around on it.
