shooting the 880 today

 did some shooting with my son today who is home for Easter. I have not shot the 880 in a while as I have been busy working and when not working either shooting or working on my P17 projects.

   So we set up in our range at 18 yards. Set up Walnuts ontop of cans and bottles and sticks. 1st shot the Winnie domes through it. Shot ok, hit most times.

   Switched up to CPHD 10.5's and WHAM! Popping walnuts in 1/2. The 2289 knocks em around. The 880 pops them into 2 pieces. So I set the 1/2's up and shatter all of the 1/2 walnuts. Without EVER missing using the Crosman boxed heavy domes.

   Darn I love that 880.

The Daisy 880 is a great gun (definitely my favorite).

Sounds like you did some nice shooting and had a good time.

I also took my 880 out (just got in a few minutes ago). Did some plinking at numerous things but the last shot was at a fragment of 1/4 piece of clay pigeon at 25 yards off hand. It disappeared in a very satisfying break up. 

I try to end each shooting session with a final very good shot. Puts me in a great mood & ready for the next session.  The 880 is a great air rifle for doing that.
