I've shot at 50 thru to 90. I think that's the "outer limits", for dependable cycling, and safety. No problems 65-85. Gotta watch leaving them in the sun.

3 people can keep a secret, if 2 of them are dead.

I have run my 2240, and 2400 up into the 93deg range.
But our shooting benches are covered, so the gun wasn't exposed to the sun.
As you get warmer, your velocity and shot counts go up to a point.
Then your valve has more pressure in it than the hammer spring can overcome (valve lock)
The colder, the less of both (velocity &shot count).

I make 2 predictions;
ON THE DATE WHEN US TROOPS ARE ISSUED AN Energy Pulse Weapon,
1. The US Soldier will have on his person a version of the Colt 1911.
2. He will be aiming the NEW Weapon at someone carrying an AK47.

We have a lot of cooler temps in the north, so more concerned about the down to 50 or even mid 40's - we don't see 90 often.

Yeah Marc. I think we've been thru this last year or so? A fixed barrel springer will do you much better (unless you invest for all the PCP stuff),,,for accuracy and easy shooting, during the winter/summers up by you.

Hey Bullit - we did cover some of this before - good memory!
I sold all the springers, and have picked up a Blue Streak. I am really enjoying no recoil, no hold-sensitivity, and not sure I'll go back to springers.

Ah, sure you will bud. I bet that this time you'll spend a few of those millions, and get into a good fixed barrel one. LOL... PS: Have you seen the Diana 430? Thinking that maybe the 460 might need a little brother here....

If I ever get another springer it will be an R7. Only low power job for me - no recoil!!!!!! I am really enjoying hitting what I aim at!
Right now I mis-placed the millions so I'll keep shooting the Blue Streak.

Typical tuned up sporter seems to run well to about 60F. Will still shoot at lower temperatures, just slower.
Have been some posts about the best adjustment to make for the widest temperature range that might be worth searching out.
