Greetings A week ago I bough an gamo cfx ( after reading all the positive comments on it and on variuos forums ) When I got it, I was pleased with it , the plastic trigger was so smooth, shooting cans at 55 yards with iron sights was fun. But after reading this gatewaytoairguns.com/airguns/index.php?topic=23194.0 . I kinda started to regret what I bough. I watched my serial number on the barrel and found out it was 13 (2013) made. Now I feel kinda confused, I don't know if I bough a good rifle or a bad one ? Has anything changed since that topic was posted ?
I have a Gamo Whisper and my only complaint is that I didn't get a CFX instead . Since getting into this hobby I discovered that I prefer the under lever and fixed barrels for the more consistent performance. That is just my thing there are many here who prefer break barrels because they require better technique and form from the shooter which is why I keep my Whisper it keeps me humble. All of that is my take on the whole subject , if you are pleased with the CFX and it does what you want and need shoot till your fingers bleed and don't worry about what others think. I own several other decent rifles and each and every one of them has members in here who have had negative experiences with them and would not own them , that is their opinion and they are allowed to have it . The above is my opinion and I will now vacate the soap box to allow the next speaker to express theirs
Like the others have said, if it's shooting good and you are satisfied with it then don't worry, you got a good shooter. I have about a dozen GAMO rifles in my collection and each one is a darn fine shooter. Some I've tuned, some I've left totally stock, but each one has performed well for me and continues to do so. Long story short........ just keep shooting your rifle and keep smiling each time the pellet hits the bullseye Jeff
Do you really have a CFX? I looked for one last year and learned they no longer exist. They had been superceded by the CFR with better design and better features. They both have an excellent reputation. By the way, with the plastic trigger I suspect you have a CFR.

Not sure why. you bought a good rifle. For some reason many many many who have NEVER even owned a Gamo bash them. Disregard all of that nonsense. Sounds like your AG is a winner. Ignore the haters

On this side of the pond I don't think we can get the CFX. I have seen some BSA Polaris Air Rifle , PA STILL HAS ONE .177 left, which is the same as CFX.DT
