Discovery or XS60C PCP?

Which first PCP rifle would you suggest? The Benjamin Discovery or the XS60C PCP converted? and Why?
Or would you suggest something else?
Also, Are there rifle "Kits" where the stock comes unfinished and the parts are tuned and assembled by the consumer?

I think for inexpensive entry for about $240 talk to Mike at FD AG's. that is the rifle and hand pump and for a few bucks one of his scopes and a mild tune. Still probably cheaper than a Discovery + Benjamin pump

Discovery - seems the X60 needs a little more tinkering when it arrives

Thank you for the replies. there is a lot to consider here. Also The XS-B50 seems almost identical to the discovery for a little less. So far though the NP XL , though having tons of power, has not impressed me as far as quality.
So maybe i should look for a German or American made product. Maybe it is worth paying extra for the quality in the long run.
Still shopping.
Also,,, Are there Air rifle "kits" where the stock comes unfinished and the peaces are tuned and assembled by the consumer?? I know there used to be firearm revolver kits, just wondering if there is for air rifles as well.

Oldnoob, I have a question: What do you plan to do with your air rifle?

Good question.
im thinking maybe target practice or plinking at about 25-40 yards. i prefer a wooden stock. and i can't at this time justify going over about 300 dollars.
The NP XL is So powerfull,, yet after about 8 shouts i would be worn out. LOL

That XS60C PCP looks like a possibility. The CO2 would allow for shooting without having the problem of pumping. But I could not find a price for that one. The Discovery (naked) goes for about $235 from Pyramyd Air.
The XS60C PCP is a Chinese rifle, while the Benjamin Discovery is made in the USA.
Things to consider. My advise would be to think on it for a while before you spend the cash. And even then, if you are not satisfied, you have two choices - keep it or sell it. On this Forum, there is a very active Classified Gate where you will find good people who deal fairly and honestly. (For a rifle I sold last year, I had a deal working the same day I listed it.) If you decide to keep it, it will be part of your collection.

The FD-PCP only fills to 1500 psi.... easy to fill but that limits the usable shot count to about half of the Disco.... The Disco shoots great out of the box, the FD-PCP is a tinkerers gun.... and you'll be lost without a Chrony....

I have 2 XS60C PCP rifles. I do like them but I knew what I was getting into. I've had each apart half a dozen times making adjustments and shooting over a chrony to fine tune. IF you go with the XS60C PCP you need to be willing to tinker with it because out of the box they are a little rough.
