Same here, no problem with the o-ring rolling off the seal. I just removed my parachute seal and replaced it with an o-ring type last weekend in my Tx.
I think they worked out the bugs with these, maybe the groove is deeper for a better fit? They don't seem to pop off too easily.

I'm glad they are working well then because I want to try one. It probably would be a good idea to have a spare O-ring on hand anyway.

Didn't have any problems with the ring coming unseated. Look at the pic, you can see where it became chafed in one spot.

One thing to add. That was with Krytox. Now I'm trying the same thing with molly. Let you know what happens later, after 4k rounds.

So, the concensus is to have a very smooth cylinder wall when using an "O" ring?  No cross hatch?  I gotta know as I am planning on doing this to my HC....

Not necessarily, it seems to work fine so far. I got it in my HC
and Pro Sport too!
