Well I've used monopod and bipod and managed to eliminate a pest or two. This year gonna use a tripod. Who knows, but practise, practise, practise before you start hunting. That will tell you much more than any article ever could.
One of the members solved the bipod problem with shooting sticks. He used a sponge to isolate the gun from the sticks. Springers like to move around a lot and don' "like" a firm platform. That's why they recommend putting your hand under the forearm near the trigger.A bipod is usually attached securely to the gun.
