Glad you got it figured out but how's about sharing the answer with us so if someone like myslef were to luck into one we'll have some ideas on what to look (look out) for.John
Hello again fellow 600 fans (or not),I had the same problem, even with a brand new re-sealed valve stem that I bought from JG Airguns. According to Tim at Mac1 Airguns, the lip inside the valve body that presses against the plastic/rubber seal wears down over the years. The plastic/rubber seal is pressed into the metal collar that holds it in place, and it is the metal collar that is preventing the valve from sealing. My "fix" was to lightly file down the metal collar while the valve stem was spinning in my drill. It worked great after that!
Didn't work for me. I'm no longer a fan of this gun. It shouldn't take this much run around to get this thing working. Anyone interested in a 600 let me know, it's totally cleaned out, paint stripped, frame polished, trigger internals polished and greased, 8" crooked barn barrel and RB maple grips. Gun has "sealing issues".
