Family can't let something like this just slide. So, my apologies and my thoughts and prayers to you and your entire family on this day you should be giving thanks. Try to stay positive with the good memories and happier times. You were blessed with some of those that included him, I'm sure.
GOD Bless,
Dave

Jeff, I agree with the others. You're family and we feel your loss. When we say grace today at our house, we will remember you and your family in our prayers. Take care brother and hold your wife tight; she'll need it.
blessings, joe

Never a good time for tragedy.
My Dad lost his cousin - the first of his cousins, actually - to cancer on the 19th, the seventh anniversary of the death of my first wife.
Eerie how that happened.
Prayers only, since you requested only that much, Johnny Reb.

Woah guys.. ya'll got me choked up. I have not shed a tear today(it's like i can't) but a couple almost slipped by me when i saw this post. Caught my breath. I shouldn't have even brought my personal life into the earlier post.. but i take that back, i'm glad i did and i'm blown away by all of your thoughtfulness. That those who have never even shaken my hand felt enough empathy and compassion to take time out of their day to give a thought, a prayer or a message just touches me deeply, renews my faith in mankind(well... airgunners for sure!) and DOES make me feel like i'm in a family.
Bogey, Jay(from another thread)Dave, Joe, DK and you who was willing to share some of your own personal tragedy, oldpink, God bless every one of you and all who read this and even thought condolences. You are all fine people and i am beyond lucky to know you.
For those who didn't see my earlier mention of my families holiday, i'll share briefly that we woke up at 5a.m. to hear that my wifes father, staying next door at a brother in laws house, died in his bed?sleep? somewhere around 4:45ish. We ran over and he was absolutely gone. We did know that he was terminal with various ailments but never expected him to pass at this time. It is a shock. Anyways, thank you all so much, You are wonderful people. Jeff

My condolences. Loss is always hard. I recently lost a friend to cancer. He was 34, the same age I am. We were not close but our wives are. It is hard knowing his 2 young children are going to grow up without their father. I wish your family the best.

Thank you guy, so very much. Ya'll are just awesome.
The funeral is today and i have to say that the family is holding up well, the support from a lifetime of friends and family makes it much easier on them and myself., it was definitely a tough holiday but everyone has agreed that it was his time and we shall see him again someday, as that is our belief. Just another Thank You! from me and my family, for your support and kindness. God bless, Jeff
