Are Simmons scope air gun proof

I have a newbie question. I know that you can't put just any scope on an air rifle and have a few Simmons scopes laying around and wanted to know if they will work on a Diana 45 I just got.

Typically they are only for powder burners and PCP's. They are not spring gun rated at all.

The older 44mag scopes were springer rated as well as the pro air series.... Current production scopes are not

Yes they were but no currently made Simmons are springer rated. I think I actually have an old Pro Series laying around somewhere..

I have an old 44 mag that came off of a deer rifle I sold. Was wanting to put it on the Diana 45 I just picked up. Is this rifle considered a med or heavy springer? Also, do I need to do anything special to it? It seems to be in pretty good condition.

To answer your question about the 44mag you don't need to do anything special to it just use it bro! - As far as their recoil rating goes the old 44mags are very strong, I've got a 6.5 - 20 with target turrets that's been on 2 or 3 hard kicking springers & I've had it on probably 6 or 7 M14s over the years, it's still going
