Help with posting pictures.

Guys,
I did a search for "posting pictures" and someone suggested using "Picasa". I've been at it for about an hour and when I try to place the picture in a post it gives you a link to follow, it doesn't place the picture in the post.
Can someone walk me through this step by step? I'm PC challenged!
Thanks!
Don

When linking to pictures stored at a host site like Picasa, you need to use the correct html tags to get the actual images to appear.
Using just the url you get this -
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/arathol/_IGP1079.jpg
The format of this forum requires IMG tags for pictures. It looks like this -
Code:
[Select]
[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/arathol/_IGP1079.jpg[/img]
With the IMG tags the url from above becomes this -
To insert the tags paste the url string in the text box, highlight it, then click on the insert image icon above the text box. Its in the bottom row, second one in from the left.

You can DL a picture resizer from Microsoft. Just google it.
Then whenever you right click on any photo a menu will come up and Resizer will be on it. You will have several choices. Then it will put a resized copy in the same folder next to the original. To post the new picture just click on it after you browse to it.
