Anyone have a tuned Maurauder?

After you tune one of these weapons what kind of shooting does it do accuracy, velocity and foot pounds @ the muzzle?

got tuned mrods in 20, 22 and 25 cal...accuracy is outstanding. energy is 25, 34, and 45 FPE respectively. and by 'tuned', there is metal work involved... less on the .22, it only has a longer BSA barrel, and a stock 25 cal valve...and a 40 gram hammer...lol 25's valve is ported, and 20 cal is absolutely nuts.

Mine is self tuned with a #10 spring.  Last setting with the forum experts help for 2.54gr .25 Cal was 842.6-881.1-843.2 FPS String 24 shots.  That is 40.05-43.80-40.11 FPE, AVG something like 42 FPE.  Going for a valve hopup one day so I can get up there with Doug.  At 50yards it shoots a quarter size ragged hole.  Add a nice stock and I am loving it !!

.25 cal tuned as in transfer port mod, valve mod and 10# hammer spring. Getting max of just over 50fpe with 28.4gr ammo and getting 3 clips of 43+fpe. Sweet spot is 2500psi to 2100psi.

I noticed mine without valve, etc sweet spot is 2700 - 2400.   When I finally do a valve and such will that lower the sweet spot like your example?

Possibly....it all works together to get any particular result. That includes valve throat, poppit mod, gauge block porting, hammer spring and adjustment and any transfer port mods. So, it's hard to say doing "x" will produce "y". I can just say the results I achieved was with the combination I used.
Sorry...not gonna step out on that limb. "If you do this you will get that" statement. Because that limb will most likely come back and smack me in da face.

I think most tuners will tune to your desires/goals.   I have a Mac1 tuned .22 Mrod, but was done before I owned the gun.   My understanding is that he does an accuracy prep (leade/bolt probe work, recrown if needed, trigger work, etc) along with setting adjustments to your goals.   I can tell you the tuned .22 is smoother bolt feeding and better trigger than my out of the box refirb .25 Mrod.  Accuracy issues with either, will be self induced.
