for the beautiful Boyd's Blaster stock in Nutmeg.... I bought it inletted but unfinished as I had to modify it for my Millenium Pumper project.... Here is the thread about that project....
http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,39328.20.html
I finished it with seven coats of Watco Danish Oil, the first two in Dark Walnut, and then I switched to Natural as it was getting a bit too dark from my tastes.... The first coat was allowed to soak in for four hours (basting every half hour with more oil), wiped off, and allowed to cure 24 hours.... Every coat after that was allowed to soak in for 2 hours, rubbed out wet with oil with wet-or-dry sandpaper, wiped dry and cured 24 hours, two coats with 220 grit, two with 400, and the final two with 600 grit.... After another 24 hours, it was given a coat or Dark MinWax and buffed out.... Here are the results....
To say I am pleased would be an understatement.... Norm's inletting was first rate, and were it not for the mods I made, I could have started the finishing project straightaway, the stock was that smooth.... My compliments for a beautiful job, great commuications, quick response and shipping.... I would highly recommend Discos-R-Us for inletted stocks for your Disco, MRod, or custom project....

Good work Bob. Looks real nice. Yep Norm is the man. He'll stay in my sig for awhile to hopefully steer some new users to him. How much better does it feel than your previous stock? Does it help you line up to the scope better too?

I recently finished my Blaster stock for my .30 cal Disco Double in Forest Camo.... Norm did a beautiful job inletting it, including setting it up for an MRod trigger and guard.... I finished it the same way as the one above, with 7 coats of Watco Danish Oil, wet sanded (2 x 220, 2 x 400, 2 x 600) and then a final coat of Minwax....
My thanks again to Norm for a perfect product, excellent communications, and prompt delivery.... Here is the thread on this project....
