Anyone try this Crosman Target trap?

I saw one at Walmart for $20. I wondered if it would be ok for indoor use. I read some online reviews of it and some complained that the curtains tear out too quickly. Of course, one can purchase replacements from Crosman.

Seen those and thinking about getting one myself. I like the idea of 3 different layers of stoppage. What I'd suggest is get the trap and swing by Lowe's or Home Depot and get some sticks of duct seal. Put about 3-4 sticks in there and shoot anywhere you want, indoors or out. I took a cheapo trap that came with my TF89 and packed it with duct seal. Hang it on a tree about 28-29 yards out and fire all my guns into it.

ezman604 is on the right track, I did just that but used 6 bricks of the duct seal set up in 2 rows x 3 high and 2 bricks deep.   Works for a while but then you have to re-work the duct seal as the pellets bore a hole in it, at least my NPSS does.

Yes I have used them before but! do be careful when using high powered rifles
Good idea to pack with duct seal
IMO just save abit more & get alot! more with purchasing one of these

I have one, and it didn't really hold up to my Gamo CFX.
The plastic sidewalls blew out.
Maybe if you reinforced it, as the other guy mentioned here, but it won't stand up to even the moderately powerful CFX without a little something extra.

I made this one for $30.00. Bought an electrical breaker box and cut the front a little smaller than a sheet of paper. I then put duct seal and it works great.

Bruiser, I have a metal rimfire trap too, but it's just too loud for indoor use. It will stop the most power airgun I have (and then some), but I want something quiet. I like the silent traps Archer Airgun sells, but I'm too cheap to buy one  .  Maybe with my very limited woodworking skills and tools, I can cobble something together.

Stuff it with rags & lay a piece of carpet on the back of the trap
Shuts it up pretty good 
If you want to contain dust frags tape piece of card board to front

If you have a Menards in your area get your duct seal there its cheeper than Lowe's

Nathan, you are on the right track with the Archer one. If you look at the "kit" they sell and you put together they give you all the dimensions for the trap, I went and got the wood cut it down. That is how I built mine only made it a little bigger so an old metal baking pan fit in it to put the duct seal in for an easy removal and replace for forming and pellet picking. Oh and I have Lowes, Menards and Home Depot by my house and Home Depot was the cheepest in my area for the duct seal.

i made a cheap trap and is quiet and works well
i took a 3 gallon jug from my turkey fryer grease
washed t out
layed on its side and spryed a can of great foam in it so it was around 1/2 full once it cured i poured sand in the other side i shoot into the foam flled side and the sand stops up to an 80 fpe condor
is very quiet , holds up well
i have 1000's rds into mine
if it starts to get bad spots in it just fill them with silicon rtv or caulk
