Airgun Repair Classes

We are less than 10 days away from the Pacific Airgun Expo II in Fresno. We have a few spaces left in our repair program, so I'm hoping we can finish filling up the airgun repair classes. Here are the choices (link to web page;

1. SPRING PISTON; This class involves tear down and rebuild of a Diana 34. Also covers dis-assembly, tuning, and re-assembly of a Record (HW) trigger unit.

2. SHERIDAN STREAK: Tear down and rebuild of this classic pneumatic air rifle. This class will prepare you to repair and maintain the soldered compression chamber/lead seal Benjamin and Sheridan airguns.

3. CROSMAN 150: Vintage co2 pistol, tear down and rebuild of a common Co2 system, with the same valving as many other Crosman Co2 pistols and rifles. This class will prepare you to repair your Cros 150, as well as gain familiarity with co2 valving systems.

4. FWB 300: Tear down and rebuild of the classic match rifle, anti-recoil system, trigger system, piston seal and buffer. This class will prepare you to work on this and other fwb non-pneumatic match airguns.

This is an opportunity to get instruction from someone with factory training and who was the senior gunsmith at Beemans for many years. Those specialty tools that make it so much easier to work on your airguns will be presented with drawings so you can make your own, or at least know what to buy. Learn proper techniques and approaches to airgun repair. And, bring a camera and notepad.

Great to know, Jon. But unfortunately I'll have to stick with the GTA for "Classes" until someone comes up with the Atlantic Air-gun Expo!

Man...would I love somethin' like this! I'm one of those guys that can watch every video and read every instruction sheet there is and still not truly understand it. I'm the type that needs to actually DO it..perhaps many times..before I can feel comfortable doing the job. If I can handle the tools and parts, while someone stands there telling me what and how to do the work, my comprehension is so much greater. Many times, the terminology of the parts and tools used are confusing to me. It's useless to tell me to place the whatchamacallit into the thingamajig while being careful not to allow the dingfob to fall forward, if I don't know what they are. It's like me trying to tell someone how to give a specific type of haircut with the tools necessary to make that cut. If I could show someone what to use and how those tools work, anyone can do it.

As a budding Tuner I would love to go to these, but like everyone else said, I am on the Right coast.....

Videos would be cool, but nothing beats hands on experience....
