Roy does good work. You have a keeper! Did Roy put on an upgraded barrel?

don't know, when we talked I said "build it to the hilt".
That was my 39.99 1377 from amazon. I got it. Called Roy the next day and after a great discussion boxed it up and out it went. I never fired it in its stock form. Today was the first time shooting it. the trigger is so smooth its like butter.

So what made me decide on a 1377 being built by Roy?
Well it all started with that 39.99 deal on Amazon and my memories of the 1322 my Brother and I used on many a pest, cans and even a few people (horrific BB gun battle with the local bully…he lost).
I was researching all the cool mods I could do and was tallying up the costs and realized that even though I would learn a lot and have fun buying the parts; for just a tad more I could have a built gun with features I could not do.
So searching in the GTA Mall I ran across Roy’s website and instantly fell in love with the pics of the custom 1322/1377’s he builds. So I give the number a call the next day and Roy picks up and the chat begins. I told him I want him to tune a 1377 for me. Roy asked for more specifics as will I hunt? Target shoot? In other words what will this pellet pistol be doing? I said “Shooting a few pests (starlings mostly) and targets but I want accuracy. So we start discussing the various options and Roy pretty much figured out that I am new in the world of airguns and re-phrased the ultimate question of what I want out of the gun. So I say “longevity, accuracy and power if you can do it” Roy chuckles and said “Then what you want is a full build”.
OK, that was easy, but what’s a full build? Pretty much your 1377/1322 becomes a one of kind monster and I mean that in a good way. I could have gone with a longer barrel or switched to .22 but I wanted to keep it somewhat stock with barrel length and in .177. Roy said no problem, tallied up my price with an appointment date and said “ship your gun down to me”. I packaged up my 1377 with the monies and off it went.
Roy said two things that impressed me too. One he said he will not build something “half-way” and when he would be done with my 1377 its something I will be able to hand down to my children as he builds them to last. Being into motorcycles, I see many people go half way and its always a problem. I am glad Roy is that confident in his work that its go all out or don’t go at all as I like to say.
Anyway, 5 weeks later the 1377 shows back up at my place. Roy had sent me notice via e-mail that is coming with a FedEx tracking number. Right away I could tell the gun was different. The cocking mechanism is beefed up, when you pump it sounds more robust with air intake and the trigger? That is so nice now its un-real. Roy includes a nice set of directions on the care and feeding of your new gun too so you don’t have to call him and ask “How do I take care of this thing”?
Ok, so I am frothing at the mouth to fire this thing and I grab my pellet trap and just goofing around shots pumped up to 8-10 pumps this thing has a BARK! So I mount the Red Dot that night and patiently wait for the Loctite to dry.
So tonight I start pellet experiments and sighting in the Red Dot. I shot RWS pistol Meisters, a few RWS domes and noticed the groups starting to get tight. And it should be said right now that those pellets were shooting fine. Touching or very close to touching on a rest at 20 feet. Well I have a JBS sampler pack and thought I would shoot some JBS Exact RS 7.33 grains. After the first three shots I was like “Hmm…that’s looking the best. Lets do the final some final adjustments on the Red Dot with these. As you can see in the pic, there are 3 pellets in the right hand bullseye and one in the left. The left was just a Hey, one more shot kind of thing.
All I can say is Wow! If you are going to get serious about customizing your 1377/1322 send it to Roy. IMHO you will be as happy if not happier than me.
If you have any questions, let me know and I plan on some other updates later.

I had Roy build me a 1322 carbine with a 20 inch barrel with the popular internal options. Taking me a while to get used how to shoot it well but it does under adime groups at 30 feet and Im still learning how to shoot it more consistently.
Now Im thinking of having Roy build me a .177. Just have to decide on a platform.

Thanks guys!
Roy said the CPHP shot really well when he tested my gun so I went to Wal-Mart today and picked up a 500 tin of them. They look very similar in design to the JBS Exact RS pellets.
Need to do my 30 foot sight in and we will see what we get.
