Centerpoint Scope on Hatsan 125 Sniper

Hey all,

I thought I would make a new thread about this so it is easy to find.  For those of you that are thinking of buying a Centerpoint scope for your Hatsan, think about what I am going to say below.

The scopes are pretty nice and clear.  The do get a little blurry at max zoom, I had the 4-16x40mm.  Now the major problem I had with them, is the mounts.  They come with the Weaver style mount, with 4 lock screws on each mount.  These are the tube screws, 2 on each side.

I could NOT get the mount to hold even after tightening the screws down, cross style tightening of course, almost all the way.  These mounts are not made for the Hatsan's kick that is for sure.  So if you buy one of these scopes, go ahead and get another mount.  Probably the Leapers (UTG) one piece.

Funny thing is, the mounts didn't move on the base, just slipped on the scope tube.  I tried everything, double sided tape, loctite, etc.  Nothing worked.  So I will probably order a Hawke and hope it has better mounts.

I've run my $69.00 wally world Center Point on a Sniper, Walther Talon Magnum, and now an AR 2000 Jet without a hitch. Has held up to each gun without issue, remained clear and sharp, and given me the confidence to buy another.

I had the white box version ( AGD ) of that scope on my torpedo 100 with no movement issues at all using the rings that were on it. Moved that scope to my airhawk with a RWS droop mount and it is currently my favorite shooter. The rings are now holding up a Hawke on my Venom with no issues. They seem like great rings and FWIW I have yet to have the need to locktite any of my scope setups. I wipe down the tube and inside of rings with rubbing alcohol and mount it up. After that I just periodically put a wrench to the screws to make sure they haven't worked loose.

Got a wally world one on a shadow s1k with one piece mount and have used it on my hatsan 95 .22 that kicks like 2 mules, no movement, and clear to 16, but I know that like with most enexpensive chinese scopes they can be hit or miss, ive had 2, one was a miss.

The scope is fine, it is the rings that I have a problem with.  I would buy another one, but I would put a different set of rings on it for sure.  Unless it was a PCP or something.

I have the Centerpoint 4-16x40  on my RWS 34 with the scope mounts that came with the scope and have never had any problem with them .I have another one I just bought for my Hatsan Torpedo 105x  in .177 and chose to use a 1 piece 4 screw dovetail mount on it because because the Weaver mounts made the scope too far forward.I have around 300 rounds through the Hatsan and the scope hasn't moved any so far.I really like these scopes for the money.

Hope you get it sorted out Jason. Just installed same scope on the H125S . I only shot it maybe 25 times so wont know for sure
if it'll hold.I was going to use my accushot one piece but i wanted to use the weaver style so I'm using what it came with for now.
Will try tomorrow more before the superbowl.

Just like with anything, sometimes you get a lemon, perhaps the rings are slightly larger, then they are suppose to be.
Switch up for another mount if you like the scope, no point of getting rid of the scope.
Lots of scope combos, have reported, problems on holding tight before.
A good cleaning with denatured alchohol of the scope and mount, might help to hold the scope better. It sounds though, if there might be some oversize issue in the mount, doubt you can fix that.

Going to give that scope a try again guess my 1st one years ago was a lemmon.
