trail np breach seal/ metal wear?

My breach seal on my trail np is slanted bigger at the bottom and the breach shows signs of wear at the top is that a sign that I need that seal?

I had the same issue with mine...turns out it wasn't "locking up" square.  I removed the breech seal, sealed the breech with a Q-tip and carefully filed down the breech block. 

Amazingly enough, my "Barrel droop" was almost completely eliminated....
