Getting Lucky in Kentucky

A couple of days ago they canceled classes due to some tornado activity about 10 miles from campus so I took the opportunity to do some shooting with the disco. I had taken 20 or so shots at about 25 yards when I had to leave to pick up some dinner essentials. I got back and took a peak out in the back yard. There was a squirrel just searching through the leaves in the yard. I walked into the basement and grabbed the freshly sighted in disco. It was shooting 8.4 grn JSB's really well so I loaded one up. I opened the basement door that looks out into the back yard and I found the squirrel about 15 yards away. I waited for him to pause his search but he just kept moving. I let out a little whistle and that was enough to get him to pop his head up and I pulled the trigger. I nailed him through the lungs and he preformed a nice death dance for me. He was probably one of the largest nutters that I have ever taken. The first pic is literally how I found him, I think he was born to be in photography
. That was my first blood in Kentucky (where I go to school). I see a lot of white nutters around and really would like to take one. Are they fair game?

Good shooting Tyler. I have an inquiry in to the KY Fish & Wildlife folks. I do some shooting around the lake that may be on KY property. I asked, since I saw no reference to it, the rules and regs on using an AG for small game. And if the albino squirrel fell in the the list with all other squirrels or were protected. Will let you know as soon as they reply.
Happy Shooting!!!!

Tyler, right from the KY Dept of Fish & Wildlife...small game hunting permitted with airguns of .177, .20 & .22 caliber. NO mention of .25 or larger caliber. I pointed that out to them. And albino squirrel are fair game, they are in the broad catagory of squirrel, and not protected.
Fire away my friend. Awaiting pictures.

The funny thing is that in my city the discharge of airguns is illegal but that's okay. What the police don't know wont hurt them lol
Thanks for the info

I'm glad I live about a quarter mile from the city limits! I did get stopped over on the "Bluff" yesterday! A sheriff's deputy spotted my car and thought I was up to no good. Instead it was just my son Moses and I plinking cans with the "BB" guns. He was very nice and told us that the "Bluff" was once owned by his family.
He just patrols there.
