Impromtu hunt-instant snack

So the other day I was in my usual spot in the garage waiting for a buddy to come by to pick me up to go watch football, wasn't even thinking about pest control. My friend shows up, and we're just standing around chewin' the fat when he points out a tree rat well within range and near enough to my shooting lane. Well, what the heck, right? I grab Viper, cock her, and get glass on the critter, maybe 17 yards away, hanging upside down on a tree trunk nibblin' on a nut and paying no attention to us. I sent a red fire on its way, and heard the THWACK, watching as the nutter dropped like a stone and tried to crawl away. I got to her in a hurry, grabbed her by the tail and brought her back to the garage still twitching. Made my buddy hold her by the tail while I loaded up the 1377 for the coup de grace, laid her on the ground and put one in the sweet spot between ear and eye to finish the girl off. Since we were due to head out to another friend's house to watch football, I figured why not bring along a tasty appetizer? Within 10 minutes the fresh kill was fresh meat, ready for the skillet. Sorry, guys, but we were in a hurry, so no pics, but it was a fairly small female fox nutter anyway, so you're not missing out any fantastic visuals. Seasoned her up with some salt and  pepper, pan fried her in butter, and served her up slathered in BBQ sauce. Everybody that wanted  to try it got a taste, and all agreed that tree rat makes darn fine eating!
