XS46U / Browning Leverage barrel droop

Hoping Santa brings me a leverage this year...was wondering how many of you have experienced barrel droop with these guns? Also what you have done to correct it, either shims or a new droop compensating mount.

tweek the barrel thats the easy way use straight edge to get it right....shoot first to make sure it needs it..

Thought only only break barrels have droop?

Weird, this topic came up yesterday on a diff forum as well.
But all guns can have droop. Dianas were actually made with built in droop - not sure they still do that. And, yes even fixed barrels ones were made with droop. In the case of the Leverage/XS46U though, if it has droop it a tolerance issue to be fixed with gentle persuasion, or a drooper mount.

i'm using the rubber shim on the rear scope mount that ships with the rifle.. seems to be working well..

Thanks for the replies...awesome shooting Sniper..hope mine shoots that well I saw on airgun web's review it comes with a rubber shim, Rick Euster [sp] he recommended using coke can shims shims instead of the rubber shim. Just wondering if they ALL have this issue. I chatting with a PA rep and he said they haven't had any issues with the leverage. I see Hawk has a weaver droop mount which I will use if I have to. Mike...I dont trust my TWEAKING skills....lol

Wow, I must be lucky. The only droop I ever experienced was on a Gamo which I fixed with a shim.

I try and remove all the droop before shipping just for this reason...may have a slight bit left but shouldn't hurt...I can alwys fix it if needed under warranty.

As far as droop goes on the Leverage, Mine came with a set of Weaver rings one marked F and one R. There are extra instructions (a yellow card) stating clearl to put the F one in the front and R in the rear (Duh!), but anyhow this could be a droop compensating arrangement.

my turn to drop a little knowledge. german airguns were designed with built in droop to shoot 10m. targets, because it was impossible to adjust the rear sight down far enough to get on target otherwise, due to the loopy trajectory of low velocity pellets. ALL currently manufactured airguns are built that way,( don't know about pcp's though), no matter what the rated velocity, because it would be unfeasable to manufacture different breech blocks with varying degrees of droop for several different velocity ranges.

never been a fan of bending barrels. if it were me, i'd buy a drooper mount, instead. just my two cents.

Well I got my Leverage for Christmas and used the mounts that came with the gun. Figured I'd give it a shot and go from there. As I mentioned my Wife ordered a .177 instead of the .22 which didnt bother me other than I had no ammo. Had to get some CPHP's the next day and found it shoots great without even being broken in. Quarter inch groups at 10 yards. I've shot half a can of pellets and it still smokes, although not as bad.Still a little twangy, but this is my first spring gun so don't really know what to expect. I can't be more pleased with how it shoots. The trigger is bearable but it is so close to the trigger guard it pinches your finger as you squeeze.Going to have to do something about that. The scope seems adequate but the reticules are kinda fat. I highly recommend this rifle for under two hundred bucks. Kind of on the heavy side but very easy to shoot of a bench or rested. Got a hundred bucks worth of different pellets coming to try after break in. But its nice to see it do so well with the Crosman's since there all I can get locally. Back to the mounts, PA doesn't carry droop compensating weaver mounts. But looking at the gun it has a weaver adapter on it, so I guess I could remove that if I had to. But so far so good.
