Grunt grunt. Here little deer.....

A forum member asked me to duplicate his el-cheapo plastic mini deer grunt call, only in wood instead. So I scored some brazillian cherry and went to work. This one was done on the metal lathe and wood lathe combined. Only because it is such a close tolerance and wood breaks easily.

Then I got my act together and spiffed it up some



Was a fun challenge and it sounds real good without the plastic 'hollow' echo. Adjustable too for deeper to itty bitty deer. Over all lenght is 3", only 1/4 inch longer than the plastic one. My reed assembly is longer thus the extra length.
