Maximus clean up?

Been shooting my new Maximus I thinks it will shoot better. I have a new brass trigger coming already installed the two screw and ink pen spring mod. I have a TKO installed from Mike. I am planning on polishing the crown and cleaning up the barrel leader. The pellets seem to bind, hang up when seating the pellet I believe a damaged pellet nose may hurt accuracy are my assumptions correct. Now to my question on barrel transfer port. The size as I have read is about perfect in .177 but would elongating it inside of chamber help. Any feed back would be great. Mike

I assume the Maximum uses the same barrel as the Disco... If the pellets are being damaged on loading, you likely have a burr on the inside of the barrel port.... Load a pellet and then using a small wooden dowel from the muzzle, push it back out through the breech and examine it.... Any such damage should be obvious....
On .22 cal Crosman barrels I usually drill the transfer port and barrel port out to 5/32" to match the valve exhaust port.... If you are not modding the valve, there is no reason to go larger than that.... You must, of course, carefully deburr the inside of the barrel to insure than your drilling the transfer port does not damage pellets on loading....
