Based on the kick from my MM B26 I would think a special scope is necessary. After shooting a few rounds I was quite astounded when I saw black and blue marks on my shoulder the next day.
Not quite the same as my 12ga but the kick is there.

Not that I'm a expert or anything, but from what I've learned from being a GTA member, my answer would be YES. Like jusanothajoe said,
all
, scopes mounted onto a springer should be air rifle rated. JMHO. Don't wanna waste money on good glass just for it to break!

Yes, you will need an air gun rated scope. BTW... I have 2 of those that I got from Mike, one in .177 and one in .22, and both of them are superb shooting guns. You picked a fine rifle. Looking forward to your review once you get it and have some time to play with it.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking that since I got the full tune recoil would be minimal and I could use a PB scope from one of my PB I don't use much. This will be my first ar with a pro tune so really looking forward to shooting it.

recoil and firing cycle will be alot smoother, but the double recoil will still kill most non airgun rated scopes

Recoil is noticeable but much less than something like a 350. I've used Hawke Airmax and Leapers on the on I had and the one I have now. Don't need highend for it to hold up but rated and with a warranty will serve you well.

As has been stated, you'll need an airgun rated scope. My local WalMart carries a CenterPoint 4-16 power scope that's airgun rated. The price of the scope in the WalMart I go to, is $69.95...no shipping or handling charges. Not everyone likes CenterPoint scopes, however I have 2 or 3 that I've placed on some of my more powerful rifles and have experienced no problems. Should something happen to it (or you just don't like it) you can always take it back to the store for refund or exchange. So far, I've never had to return one.
