Titan takes it's first nutter.

I have been looking out in the back yard just waiting for a nutter to appear. I was looking out this morning and I could see the trees behind the house shaking in 3 places with nutters. Unfortunately they were in the no hunt zone, on property that is not mine  . Well I am walking away from the door and I look to my left and I see a nutter  !! I grabed the Titan and loaded a cphp. I slip out the door, and took a shot. I heard the thwack. The nutter started to move away slowly. I put the croshairs on his vitals and --- another loud thwack. He is still moving! Wow super squirrel! Well I loaded another and ------- THWACK!! Then he hit the ground. He twitched and lights out. I heard another barking and saw a third. The third ran off into the neighbors yard before I got to put the thwack on him. One shot got him in the back leg (I have no idea how that happened, must have been a flier?), one shot got him just under the vitals, i think i probably clipped them and he would have died from that shot, and the third went right through the center of his chest.

Congrats on the rifles first nutter.  Great pic too.   It's always amazed me how tough nutters can be at times, we've all had it happen.  Enjoy the meal

Congrats on the your 1st squirrel with the Titan!  That was a tough squirrel for sure.  It happens with body shots sometimes, but you acted quickly and put it down with follow up shots.  Great job!  It seems the Titan will be seeing a lot of action.  You have plenty of nutters there.

Well I got looking at my cphp and I noticed some flashing on the pellets. The heads on about 50% of them had what appeared to be a burr around the hole   . Maybe that is why my shot was off ?? I aimed for the head and I got a body shot.  I ran about 10 pellets at a target and it looked like a shotgun  . I shot some rws and they were tight. This is the first batch out of about 1500 pellets that I have had any issues like that with. I will stick to the rws for now, and get some more cphp later before I write them off. I was getting consistent groups with my last couple of tins. I guess I am lucky I got him at all
