Heavy pellets

Well, put about 1000 pellets of 18.13 gr Jsb's through the stoeger.
Shots started going everywhere, then I heard a "ting" a few times. When I went to cock the rifle again, the barrel moved about a 3/4 of an inch before feeling resistance. I knew I had broke the spring.
The spring broke near the top hat.
Just goes to show that even good after market springs can only take so much. It doesn't help the rifle was a 14 fpe shooter by me.
Now she is sporting an E3650 spring.
Just a heads up.

18 gr. pellets are pretty heavy for a 14 FPE springer.... On the other hand, springs are replaceable....

Yes it can.
Mine was ok though. I have an extra one of them as well.

I use 10.65 gr. Barracuda's in my little Phantom and they are accurate as heck. Springs are 5 bucks from Crosman.
