beeman RS1 to RS2 trigger ?

I spoke with Peter at Beeman this morning to get a new fiber optic sight for my RS1 .22 barrel. (mine came up missing from the front sight). My rifle is one of the dual caliber models.
He's a very nice guy, asked for my address, and said he would send one to me.

I also asked him about the trigger being so hard, and if there was anything he might suggest to make it better.
He told me that they will replace the RS1 trigger, with a RS2 trigger for $35.
 They are located in Santa Fe Springs, which is only about 8-10 miles from me.

so my questions to you guys is...

Do you think it is worth spending the $35 on this rifle ?
or...
Would it be like putting lipstick on a pig ?.... (you've still just got a pig when you are done).

If it would still be just a pig,.... then I'd rather not waste the cash on it, and probably just put it on CL.

Has anyone here upgraded their RS1 to a RS2 trigger ?

I've used the search function here on the forum, and see plenty of threads talking about how bad the RS1 trigger is, and how the RS2 trigger is SOoooo much better being an adjustable 2 stage,.... But I have not seen where anyone actually says they changed their RS1 gun, to a RS2 trigger.

Your thoughts ?

Well, I have a Beeman dual cal that I got from Walmart 6mo ago.  It's an RS2 with the adjustable trigger, totally bone stock.  It has been sitting scope-less in my closet for a couple of months but before it went away, I had put about 4000 pellets through it.  Last night I fitted a Hawke 3-9x50 AO scope to it picked up from Airgunsdaily for $59 on black Friday.  Went outside in the dark and set up my flashlight on a target at 25 yards and proceeded to sight it in.   My last 4 shots with RWS Super H-points went inside a dime-sized hole.  Only time will tell if I can repeat that performance but if yours shoots like that, or if you think a better trigger can help it shoot like that, $35 sounds very reasonable.

My Beeman Teton is a single cal 22 RS2. It'll do just a hair under an inch at 50 yards, and smaller than a dime at 25 yards. Really decent guns. If mine needed a trigger I'd probably make the switch, but I'm not sure about the dual cal models. Something about em throws me off em. They're basically the same as TF 89's or AR1000s and can respond really well to tunes.

Also Paul68 having a Teton RS2 I thought the Teton was also a RS1.  If so being that the shot groups sound impressive was there any trigger tuning on the Teton's trigger?

 I highly doubt shipping is included in the $35
 I'm not worried about it, due to I am in the area of Santa Fe Springs fairly often.
It sounds like the general consensus here is to go ahead and have it done.

 I can't imagine this is something new here, and not previously known about.
 but then again, with all the threads I saw talking about the RS1 vs. RS2 triggers,.... I've yet to find even one mention of it being upgradeable. Seems everything I saw, said there is nothing you can do to improve it, if you have a RS1.

I had thought so too, but looking up the model# and checking the trigger revealed its an RS2. I've fully tuned the gun and the trigger got polished and smoothed.
