Lacquer is what you want for colors and clear satin lacquer can be used for the seal if wanted. Both poly and clear will work. The bed liner pnt once dried is a very hard finish. Will not be EASY to remove. Good luck to all that take THE WOLFS steps. HOWL
Love the camo jobs you did Whitefang. I have been on the road all day looking for bedliner spray with no luck. All I did find was black. What is your source for these products? I have tried home depot, pep boys, and walmart.
Another TIP!!! If you want to mask off any areas such as checkering or making a design use the BLUE 3m masking tape.

I had thought the same as you, and have plans to level the muzle break, and do some paint work. I need some help though...1) Confirming, you primed it with rustoleum bed liner spray? After a sanding, did you wash with acetone, alcohol, mineral spirits, what? Was the bedliner spray black then??2) Did you have to prep the coat of bedliner for color, and how long did you wait before you applied color coats to the bedliner?3) What brand/type of color spray did you use? Rustoleum has like 7 brands of satin paint. And what is the satin polyurethane you spoke of? Is it the Varathane line for wood?? It sticks to the bedliner??4) Finally, how did you get that amazing grass pattern on there?!Thanks!!Sending you a PM with Wolf's step by step process, it's easy once you understand how (I didn't)
